A Planning Intern for City of Altoona, IA

To this day, I have a list of duties and things that I need to do each and every day or week. During the middle of May, I was hired to work as a planning intern for the City of Altoona. This opportunity and position as shown me the basics of what a planner does on a daily basis and more fundamentals of planning. The City of Altoona is really busy right now with many developments and project under construction or newly completed, which has been a great site to see in this struggling economy. In August, a Bass Pro Shop will open here and everyone on the city staff and in the city are ecstatic. Altoona is a city filled with entertainment for the whole family and is striving to make a sustainable and healthy community.
I look forward to being apart of this community in the future as I share the same values and goals that the my co-workers share.
